Action League of Bellingham's (formerly Assistance League of Bellingham) Enrichment Scholarship program provides summer scholarships to middle and high school public school students in Whatcom County. Students may apply for summer enrichment camps in a variety of areas such as: music, science, art, debate, technology, dance, leadership and many others. These scholarships are merit based; not based on financial need. So, receiving one not only helps make it possible for the recipient to attend an enriching summer program, but it can also be listed on future college applications, which is an important factor in today’s competitive environment.

"For the past four years, I have used the Action League of Bellingham’s Summer Enrichment Scholarship to attend Dancing For Joy’s Summer Ballet Intensive. I am incredibly grateful to have financial support for this program because it gives me the opportunity to focus on a passion of mine without worrying about any financial burdens that may be inflicted. As a result, I have been able to flourish in my dancing ability, and the application process has given me the confidence and skills to apply for other scholarships that will benefit me in high school and beyond. I have found a sense of security in the Summer Enrichment Scholarship because no matter what my aspirations are for the summertime, I know the Action League will always be there to support me."
